PhysEd with a Purpose – ConnectedPE Workshop

Join world renowned physical educator Nathan Horne from iPhys-Ed.com for an action packed one day workshop focused on authentic, purposeful physical education. Nathan will explore emerging pedagogical approaches to physical education which are being used in innovative Physical Education classrooms around world.

In particular attendees will focus specifically on making sense of teaching games by exploring TGfU and Game Sense models. All attendees will be required to bring along a mobile device and will be informed of the necessary apps prior to the workshop commencing. Attendees are guaranteed to walk away with best practice actionable ideas for immediate classroom use. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to put their new skills into action with a complete hands-on focus.

Areas covered include:

  • Pedagogical approaches in physical education
  • Making sense of Teaching Games: exploring TGfU/Game Sense models
  • Assessment strategies in Invasion Games
  • Designing Games for Learning in Net/Wall Games
  • Technology as a tool in physical education.
